On March 24th and 25th the research staff members of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) met in Grasellenbach (Odenwald).

In a short talk every subproject presented in a short talk the progress made during the last year.

Topics of the workshop were for example robust design and the 160t-press, which will be build soon. In the course of the two days many interesting questions about the present work were discussed.

Numerous points of contact between the subprojects and the staff members were found and intensified. Prof. Dr. Holger Hanselka commended the work of the 20 staff members at the end of the workshop with „The CRC is on target. This is certain.“ The improvement of each subproject is one thing. The other one is the cross-project work. There already exist some publications and a demonstrator in form of a tripod has been build. This tripod is now used to study the equal load distribution in dependencny of the uncertainties in the production process. The focus of the research lies on the uncertainties of the bore diameter and the skew in the connection.
